How Do I Read/Listen to a Book/Audiobook on Sora?
1. To get to Sora, there are a few ways you can do this:
1. Install the Sora app from the Apple or Google Play Store on your device. OR
2. Click on the app in the Reading Resources section of the library's webpage. OR
3. Go to Classlink and click on the Sora app under library. OR
4. You can also access Sora through any browser at this address https://soraapp.com/
2. When you are in Sora, find Homewood High School and then sign in using your Google credentials.
3. In the upper left corner, you will see the word EXPLORE. Under that are the words "Homewood City Schools". This means you are accessing the ebooks and audiobooks in the HCS collection. If you would like to access all of the Jefferson County Library Cooperative's collection, choose this from the drop down arrow.
4.You may have to "add library" and choose Jefferson County Library Cooperative as an additional library the first time you use Sora.
5. Browse the book collection or use the "search bar" to look for a book.
6. Audio books will have an image of a headset under them, indicating that format.
7. Click on the book, select borrow and the book will open for you to read or begin downloading (audiobooks).
8. Books will automatically return after 13 days.
9. Once the book is borrowed and on your shelf, you can click "options" to renew or return early.
10. Happy Reading!
